Shiplap Remodel

This one-of-a-kind remodel featured one of our favorite materials: shiplap.

Like many of our projects, this remodel started out as one request and ended up with us doing all the finish carpentry in the house. Our original task was to install 40 new exterior windows and doors. While we were replacing the windows, the owner mentioned wanting shiplap on every wall in the house, and we rose to the challenge. 

We like putting up shiplap because it requires another level of precision and detail. Most people would rough cut 10 boards at a time, slap up trim, and rely on caulk to hide imperfect cuts.


Our approach is different. We meticulously cut every single board to ensure all the corners were tight with a clean look. We started from the bottom with a laser, and worked our way up to ensure everything lined up with perfect inside and outside corners, no matter what room someone was in.

In addition to the shiplap and installing exterior windows and doors, we also did trim, re-sided most of the house, and set solid core interior doors.

Papillion Home Remodel

This meant starting pretty much from scratch. We gutted the house, and by the time we were done, nearly every surface was new, including the deck, flooring, paint, trim, countertops, appliances, light and plumbing fixtures, cabinets, sod, roof, and AC unit.
